GTStarter I
Vehicle Requirements:
Any Car or Truck.
Automatic or Manual Transmission.
Carbureted or Fuel Injection.
Diesel or Gasoline.
Vehicles equipped with or without a locking steering column.
Late model vehicles do not need a Security Key By-Pass module.
Ignition Key Option:
Street Legal Vehicles:
For late model vehicles that came equipped with locking steering column, the ignition key is required to turn the ignition ON and OFF and to lock / unlock the steering column.
When GTStarter I is put in the ARMED mode (using the key FOB lock button) the Push Button will illuminate blue indicating the engine can not be started.
Do not attempt to disable or bypass the ignition key tumbler or steering column lock. The steering column could inadvertently lock (eliminating your ability to steer) while the vehicle is moving. You must not bypass the ignition key or steering column lock if the vehicle is to be driven on public roadways.
Dedicated Off-road or Racing Vehicles:
When used in dedicated Off-road or Racing vehicles the ignition key tumbler can be replaced with a safety toggle switch.
When GTStarter I is put in the ARMED mode (using the key FOB lock button) the Push Button will illuminate blue indicating the engine can not be started even when the ignition toggle switch is in the ON position.
If the Off-road or Racing vehicle ignition key tumbler is being replaced with an ignition toggle switch and the vehicle came equipped with a locking steering column, the steering column lock must be permanently disabled.
The ignition key or steering column lock must not be bypassed if the vehicle is to be driven on public roadways.
